What NowWhat is
NowWhat is a guide for family caregivers when someone they love is in the hospital or getting older. It walks you through each stage of care, from the emergency room to coming home, with what to do, what to ask, and what can wait. Morgan, its assistant, answers questions about the process, such as what to ask at rounds, what a discharge summary means, or how Medicaid works in your state, and says where the information comes from.
What NowWhat is not
NowWhat is not a medical provider, a law firm, or an insurance company. It does not diagnose, recommend treatments or doses, or give legal or financial advice, and it cannot see your loved one's medical records. For medical decisions, ask the care team. In an emergency, call 911.
Common questions
How do I use NowWhat on a new phone?
On the device you already use, open Settings, then Account, and add your email. On the new phone, open NowWhat, then go to Settings, then Account, and add the same email. We send you a sign-in link, with no password, and your notes and progress come across.
How do I delete my information?
Settings, then Delete All My Data, removes your checklist, notes and progress from the device and from your account. Settings, then Account, then Delete my account, removes the account as well.
Who sees what I type?
The Your Privacy page in the app lists every company that handles your information and why.
